This year's Senior Mantle was designed by Christian Overton.
Here's how he describes his design: "The triangles show that each and everyone of us is unique. On the outside we are just another senior class, but like this design when you look closer, you see there is much more to us than that. We are creative, innovators, collaborators, team leaders...the Class of 2016 is represented by the Alpha Wolf." The Senior Mantle is a Downingtown High School tradition since 1908. Each senior class votes on a design that represents their class. The designs adorn a ceremonial graduation robe which is worn by the outgoing Senior Class President and passed onto the shoulders of the next class president as a symbolic gesture during senior awards night. |
