The mural began in the spring when the Class of 2017 IB Visual Art students met with local artist, Adrian Martinez for brainstorming and design development. The idea was to have the mural welcome visitors and students into the school, and also represent the many facets of our unique learning environment. Mr. Martinez then developed students' ideas into a fully realized mural design. Over the summer, many students spent time tracing and painting the mural onto the unusually long wall. Today, an awesome group including alumni and incoming freshmen worked on bringing the mural to its almost finished state. There are some final touches yet to be added, but we are all very excited about the many ways this mural ties together Science, Technology Engineering, Math and of course Art!
