On Tuesday, October 17th, nationally recognized artist, Adrian Martinez spoke to International Baccalaureate Visual Art classes for our first “Artist Talk” of the year. Martinez, a Downingtown resident is a painter in the Western European tradition whose work has graced the walls of the White House, the Bush Presidential Library, the Chester County Historical Society, the Downingtown Library and our very own walls here at the STEM Academy, among many others. Last spring and summer, he worked with STEM art students in the class of 2017 to design and paint a complex mural that spans over sixty feet in length. During his Artist Talk on Tuesday, he shared his story and the unique path that his life as an artist has taken. We are fortunate to have such an accomplished artist as a member of our community. We thank Mr. Martinez for sharing his morning and artwork with us.
