This year, the class of 2021 voted on twenty entries to the annual Senior Mantle Emblem Design Contest. The winning design was created by Polina Ilyin, an art student since her freshman year. According to Polina, "the colorful symbol of the wolf represents a bright future for the diverse and driven class of 2021". The design will officially represent the senior class a variety of forms. It will be on the cover of the commencement program, be featured in the yearbook, be given to seniors as commemorative lapel pin, and most importantly, will be added to the Downingtown Senior Mantle. The Mantle is a ceremonial graduation robe that features an emblem representing each class since 1908. Polina's design will become part of this extraordinary Downingtown legacy. Congratulations, Polina!
